Roughly 100 journalists were divorced from their employment, and as the unpleasant process unfolded, the entire Bristol, Conn., campus was paralyzed by fear and sadness." -- are foreshadowing cuts in television rights fees to universities and that spells trouble for Athletic Directors with programs built on the assumption that massive cash infusions from broadcasters will never end.
